Caring for East Anglia’s pets and farms for over 100 years

We are here to help when you need us most, and visit all sick farm animals and attend emergencies for all clients within one hour’s drive from our practice as well as providing all routine services.

We are a well-established pig practice and our expertise covers all aspects of production, from outdoor breeding units, indoor units to dedicated finishing units. We are happy to work as consultants with vets from other practices to support their own pig farming clients.

We pride ourselves on forming and maintaining a close knowledge of the everchanging farming industry, and actively encourage our vets to continue developing their knowledge and expertise through post-graduate training courses to ensure we can offer farmers the very latest developments in farm animal veterinary medicine.

Compassionate vet care for your pets

Oakwood Veterinary Group is dedicated to providing you and your pet with the very highest standard of service.

Based at our practice in Harleston we can offer a range of services including vaccinations, microchipping, neutering and personalised treatments for fleas, worms and ticks.

Between them, our amazing team of vets and nurses have decades of experience and access to advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment and a well appointed in-house lab to help them deliver the best care for your pets.

Our clients can take advantage of a fantastic out of hours service, provided in partnership with Uplands Way Veterinary Clinic in Bressingham, and staffed by a team of vets and nurses drawn from both practices. The clinic provides superb facilities for dealing with emergencies 24/7 and where needed there are facilities to supervise sick patients around the clock.

Owners of dogs, cats and rabbits can access our Pet Health Club, which breaks down the cost of routine veterinary services to a monthly direct debit. Included are annual vaccinations and flea and worm treatments, as well as health checks with a vet every six months and discounts on a range of services, and even pet food.

We understand the East Anglian farming community

We have been providing veterinary care to farms throughout East Anglia for over 100 years and cover a wide geographical area, regularly visiting clients in surrounding counties.

All of our farm vets are committed to farm practice, and care for cattle, pigs and sheep, as well as camelids and other ruminants, as well as services for smallholders.

We place a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and herd health planning to reduce disease levels, and offer a range of services, covering fertility, lameness, disease, exports, medicine and more.
